Gary Rhodes

1. First of a six-part series of gastronomic journeys around Britain with the flamboyant chef. Alderney. A volunteer lifeboat crew invite Gary Rhodes to Alderney in the Channel Islands. He helps them to entertain their colleagues from the French rescue services by cooking a memorable banquet.
2. Gary Rhodes races to London's East End to adjudicate in a culinary battle of the sexes between four busy hospital doctors. A fiercely-fought contest ensues over a menu that includes red mullet escabeche and crème chiboust.
3. The flamboyant chef visits Teesside where he helps a five-a-side football team of women with an average age of 82. His pre-match meal for them is frozen pea soup, steak-and-kidney pie plus peaches and ice cream, all with a special Rhodes flavour.
4. The flamboyant chef visits Bedales, the celebrated Hampshire public school, to help sixth-form pupils prepare a meal for their housemistress, who is about to retire after 25 years' service.
5. The flamboyant chef joins a bride-to-be's trio of close friends to help secretly prepare a hen-night meal she will never forget.
6. In the last trip of the current series, Gary Rhodes visits Somerset, helping four members of the Brooks family cook for their overworked parents. Their recipes include green tomato tarte tatin and clotted-cream bailee.
