Remembrance Sunday 2002 : The Cenotaph

Live coverage from Whitehall, in the year that marks the 60th anniversary of the battle at El Alamein , as the Queen joins representatives from Parliament, the armed forces and the Commonwealth for the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph and the two minutes' silence. In time-honoured tradition, 10,000 veterans march in memory of colleagues killed in conflict. Commentary is provided by David Dimbleby, with Colonel John Hughes-Wilson .
