Charlie's Garden Army

1. The first of two programmes tonight highlighting the BBC's Time Bank campaign to encourage volunteers to offer their time and skills to a variety of good causes. In this special first edition of her new eight-part series,
Charlie Dimmock is joined by Shauna Lowry in Deal, Kent, where they revamp a garden at a residential home for severely disabled children and adults.
2. Raglan School. Charlie Dimmock, the green-fingered expert, and her team decamp at Raglan School in Enfield, north London, where they aim to transform a tarmacked netball court into a lush green jungle-inspired playground within the space often weeks.
3. Peckham. Charlie Dimmock, the green-fingered expert, and herteam visit Peckham, south-east London. Over the course of three months they help residents turn a dumping ground into a beautiful garden.
4. Londonderry. Charlie Dimmock, the green-fingered expert, and her team visit Northern Ireland to restore a sunken
Italian garden in the grounds of St Columbs community centre to their former glory. They help residents create a formal garden with a contemporary twist.
5. Devon. Charlie Dimmock and the team are in Great
Torrington, site of the last battle of the English Civil War in 1646, where volunteers help turn a neglected communal site into a 17th century-style garden.
6. Wales. Charlie Dimmock and the team are in the village of Cefnpennarto turn wasteground into an elemental garden that blends in with a stunning mountain backdrop.
7. Invergordon. Charlie Dimmock and the team are in the coastal town of Invergordon in the Scottish Highlands to turn a car park into a garden with a nautical theme.
8. Birmingham. Charlie Dimmock's team are at Small Heath in Birmingham to turn an overgrown area into an exotic Mogul garden for a multi-cultural community.
