Prostitute

1. The first of four programmes in which prostitutes talk frankly about their lives and work.
Talia. A mother-of-three talks to Esther Rantzen about her childhood and explains whyfor her, a successful former airline employee who speaks fluent French, German, Italian and Japanese, prostitution was a step up in life.
2. The second of four programmes in which prostitutes talk to Esther Rantzen about their lives.
Frank. This week's programme features a gay man who decided, nine years ago, to sell sex for a living. Frank believes he provides an important service to the community, but he explains his problems in accepting his sexuality and describes how the job has put a strain on his life and relationships.
3. Tracie. Born male and christened Scott, Tracie always felt that she was really a woman. She originally turned to prostitution overten years ago to fund her sex change operation. Tonight Tracie explains to Esther Rantzen why it doesn't bother her ifshe is considered unacceptable by society - both as a transexual and as a prostitute - because she is finally the person she has always longed to be.
4. The last of four programmes in which prostitutes discuss their lives and work with Esther Rantzen.
Jose. This week's programme features a 60-year-old woman who started working as a dominatrix 35 years ago. She talks about herformer secret double life as housewife, mother and prostitute, which she led until she had enough moneyto escape her marriage and move in with her current partner, Carol.
