Friends For Dinner Series 2

1. In the first of a second,eight-part series in which top chefs aid their biggest fans to prepare a dinner party, Gary Rhodes helps Essex nurse Lesley Kennelly cook roast monkfish with crispy bacon or Parma ham, followed by bittersweet strawberry tart with marscapone cheesecake cream - an ambitious menu for Lesley who is daunted by the thought of cooking fish and preparing pastry.
2. Gordon Ramsay helps wannabe-chef Simon Laws prepare a stunning three-star Michelin menu in the second of the new series in which top chefs help their biggest fans prepare a dinner party. But can the pair keep a lid on their emotions to ensure the evening doesn't end in disaster?
3. The third installment of the eight-part culinary series finds Antony Worrall Thompson helping school dinner lady Kim Newman from Surrey to prepare shallot tartetatin, scallops with prawns and asparagus wrapped in pancetta followed by Italian carrot and almond cake with oranges in caramel.
4. The fourth installment of the eight-part culinary series finds Ainsley Harriott on the end of a phone line attempting to help pre-prepared food addict Jason O'Shea surface from a reckless plunge into the deep end of piscine cuisine in a bid to trawl up a gourmet platter of sushi and tempura.
5. The fifth instalment of the eight-part culinary series finds fish king Rick Stein advising male model Simon Spalding , who lives by the sea at Brighton in the creation of a tricky menu of lobster with a pastis and olive oil dressing, followed by gurnard with a potato, garlic and saffron broth.
6. The culinary series finds chef Tony Tobin advising Anne Swabey on a menu involving seared beef fillet with wasabi pikelets and spicy beetroot followed by white chocolate mousse in a sweet pastry box with a raspberry coulis.
7. The penultimate installment of the eight-part culinary series finds curry queen Madhur Jaffrey popping over on a break from her New York home to advise Rosie Wolfe-Barry on an Indian-style menu consisting of spinach and okra soup and chicken tikka masala with vegetable pilau.
8. In the final instalment of the culinary series, chef Paul Rankin rustles up a vegetarian feast for Jill Dorsett , who has asked her girlfriends round for dinner. On the menu are spicy leek and goat's cheese souffle, stuffed vegetables, and bread and butter pudding with a whisky and marmalade sauce.
